Bundesliga HeubachGepubliceerd op: 21 maart 2013
This weekend the team performed well in the German Bundesliga series.
A tough race that was given extra hardness by the wet conditions wish created a lot of muck on the race track. The whole team was at the start this and we competed in the Men U23 and Men Elite categories.
The Feenstra Felt powered by Kenda team was highly visible during the Men U23 race with Ruben Scheire in the leading pack riding for the 5t position. Ruben unfortunately was the (only) one suffering the most from the drying up thick muck and had to terminate his race prematurely. 2th best was Thijs Zuurbier who just got back in competition after his fractured collarbone on Cyprus but was able to get hold on a 16th position overall.
In the Elite men’s race Erik Groen and Robby de Bock presented the team. Both men were riding top 20 even before hot shots like Fondana and Kurschatz. Disaster struck as Erik crashed and thereby bruised his tire. Robby had a backlash and finished 30th.
We achieve an upward trend and are positive for some ditto results on short notice.
Next race is going to be an XCO stop in Riva, Italy. Afterwards there are two more UCI cross Country Races in The Netherlands and Belgium.
