Gaining speed on the Road

The last couple of weeks the riders did quite a lot of road races in preparation of the third part of the MTB Season.
The riders do 70% of their regular training on the road bike, so should not be easy enough for them.
And with their physical shape improving we´ve enjoyed some nice racing.

Last weekend almost the whole team competed in a criterium in Sneek, The Netherlands and on Sunday they raced a more MTB-like race in Norg.

Slag om Norg Strade Bianche

On Sunday the team was treated on a typical Italian Style Strade Bianche. A Road Race over couple stones and Gravel Roads. The view created some spectacular footage;
A true battle for both Cyclists and the Material. The Team was Equipped with Special, extra wide 25mm and tough KENDA Criterium Tyres. This resulted in being the only team in the race having no flats what so ever.
As the cyclists battle the elements the rider pack rapidly reduced. In the final lap their where only 19 rides left of the 104 attending. Our two big shots Robby and Thijs where within this first pack and made the finish. Great Job Guy’s!
Gert Jan Bosman (Rabobank development) won the Sprint and was a deserved winner.
