Represented three times on European ChampionshipsGepubliceerd op: 3 juni 2014
Lisa Mitterbauer, Blaza Klemenčič and Ruben Scheire compete at the European Championships in Sankt Wendel this weekend.
Last week Rudie de Bie, Belgium national coach, selected Scheire for the European Championships in Sankt Wendel. De Bie was also satisfied with the result of the first year Elite rider. ,,Scheire, who mostly is a slow starter lost a lot and its satisfying that he ends up as 30’’, told De Bie to mountainbike.be. Scheire looks forward to Sankt Wendel. ,,I hope to do a good race again finishing around 20. The race is a little bit easier than the World Cup we we’ll see butt normally it should be good.’’
Quite unique to have three Feenstra riders present at the European Championships. This weekend Lisa Mitterbauer (Austria) and Blaza Klemenčič (Slovenia) will represent us also in Sankt Wendel. Klemenčič won de title in 2003 and this year she hopes for top-ten again or more forward. In Nove Mesto (10th) and Albstadt (9th) she showed that she is in good shape. ,,I’m very happy the way things go right now and I’m looking forward to it.’’
Mitterbauer hopes for a top-ten position in Sankt Wendel as well. Butt, she knows that the competition will be hard. ,,I fought hard in Albstadt and I will do the same in Sankt Wendel.’’
Team manager Maarten Kemperman is very proud that three of his riders will be present at the European Championships. ,,This proofs that our team made a mayor leap forward and I am very happy for the riders but also for our sponsors who support us so well to be able to achieve this. We want more, the victory of Ruben in Saalhausen tasted very good and we want more of that.’’
