Zuurbier’s Crash draws attention away from good results at Cyprus

At Cyprus Fabian Giger won the men’s race and Marianne Vos won the Women Elite race. In sunny, warm conditions both also got hold on the final stage victory.
Even Olympic champion Jarouslaf Koulhavy finished behind Giger at a 2th place.

The Feenstra Felt powered by Kenda riders achieved good overall results in this 2013 Sun Shine Cup on the Greek part of the Cyprus Island.
Erik Groen finished 12th and Robby de Bock ended on a 15th spot. Robbert the Nijs gained a 30th position and Roy Beukers got hold on the 41th position over all.
First 3 hereby gained an lot of UCI points.

Tough luck for Thijs Zuurbier. Riding for a top-ten overall ranking, he crashed badly in the final stage on Sunday. He hereby broke his collarbone. But it could have been worse. His Lazer Helmet however saved him from a serious head injury and coped with the crash impact. Zuurbier is out of running for at least 5 weeks.
